Raising the Bar, A Tribute to Tomo (1979–2025)
In property management, there is no crystal ball. Things go wrong. Markets shift. People make mistakes. But there are patterns. There is experience. There are strong systems. There is good software. There is training. And there is common sense.

Bex Harris
Bex Harris is the owner operator of TED Property Management and a results-driven investment strategist with a strong background in management, customer service, and property investing. Her focus is on helping investors maximise equity and yield while creating a simple, stress free ownership experience.
Since starting her property management journey in 2015, Bex has helped hundreds of out-of-town investors identify and secure high-performing opportunities, backed by reliable, stress free management. She combines sharp investment insight with a people-first approach, ensuring both owners and tenants are positioned for long-term success.
Known for her high energy and ability to execute at pace, Bex is often nicknamed “the tornado” for the momentum she brings and the results she delivers.
Following their early success, Bex and her husband Brad acquired and scaled a Dunedin portfolio of over 500 properties, refining systems and processes to consistently deliver strong outcomes for investors.
Now based back in Christchurch, Bex is focused on helping investors tap into one of New Zealand’s most compelling growth markets. With strong fundamentals, ongoing development, and increasing national interest, she sees Christchurch as a key opportunity for those looking to build or expand a high-performing portfolio.
Bex’s drive to see investors succeed, combined with her experience in building scalable property management systems, is matched by her commitment to raising the standard of the industry.

Brad Harris
Brad Harris is the owner operator of TED Property Management, bringing a strong background in renovations, project management, and property improvement. With a natural eye for detail and a passion for adding value, Brad plays a key role in helping investors unlock the full potential of their properties.
Originally the driving force behind entering the property investment industry, Brad has always been focused on the practical side of investing, identifying opportunities, improving assets, and seeing projects through from concept to completion. He enjoys the process of transforming properties and delivering tangible results.
Where Bex brings energy and momentum, Brad is the steady execution behind the scenes. Known for his attention to detail and structured approach, he focuses on building the systems, processes, and foundations that ensure long-term success.
While Bex is often the face of the business, Brad is the one holding it all together, bringing balance, structure, and consistency. His ability to slow things down when needed ensures that growth is sustainable, well-planned, and built on solid ground.
Together, Brad and Bex combine strategy, energy, and execution to deliver a well-rounded, results-driven approach to property investment and management.
Property Manager
Erin Coffey
Erin’s passion for property started long before her career in property management. With a keen interest in home renovation and improvement, she has always enjoyed seeing the potential in homes and helping people get the very best from them.
Her background in hospitality, customer service, and her time serving in the New Zealand Army have given her a unique combination of skills that make her a natural fit for property management. Working with people from all walks of life has strengthened her ability to communicate, solve problems, and build genuine relationships. Well travelled and always keen to meet people from different cultures, Erin enjoys connecting with others and believes that understanding people’s individual needs is at the heart of great customer service.
A born and bred Cantabrian, Erin is passionate about Christchurch and everything the region has to offer. Living in Lincoln, she loves the balance of being close to the city while still enjoying the sense of community and relaxed lifestyle that comes with a smaller town.
Outside of work, Erin is always on the go. Whether she’s spending weekends in the garden, tackling home improvement projects, heading out for a walk, cooking up a storm, or spending quality time with her family, she loves keeping busy. As the proud mum of three grown sons, life has certainly never been short of adventure.
We’re thrilled to have Erin as part of the TED Property Management team. Her warmth, life experience, genuine care for people, and passion for property make her a fantastic person to have looking after our clients, their tenants, and their investments.
A tribute to Tomo -The original Ted
Aaron Thomas (Tomo)
Tomo had a simple philosophy, build strong foundations, create good systems and a great team culture, and make sure people feel seen and heard. That, to him, was how you created real success.
With years of experience helping teams and businesses thrive, Aaron understood that systems could support success, but people made it happen. Nobody should feel like a number. Everyone had something to contribute, and everyone deserved a voice .He didn’t just talk about those values. He lived them.
This was the man who put on sausage sizzles at 3am for his team, even while undergoing chemotherapy. Who read the name badge of the woman serving him at the supermarket deli and asked how her day was. Who, while unwell in A&E, still thought to thank the nurse caring for him and acknowledge how many hours she’d been on her feet.
Aaron had a generous way of making people feel they mattered. Because to him, they did.
Having been both a rental owner and a tenant, he often talked with us about how the person didn’t change, just the title. That belief became one of the foundations of Ted Property Management. Success means looking after both landlords and tenants, and our job is to make those relationships work, even when the conversations aren’t easy. Now, remembering names wasn’t always Tomo’s strongest skill. His practical solution? Call everyone Ted. Friends, colleagues, familiar faces from years ago. Everyone was Ted.
Sadly, Aaron passed away from cancer in 2025. But the difference he made lives on in the people, teams and businesses he helped along the way, including ours.
Ted Property Management was named in tribute to our friend. Ted stands for Trust, Experience, Deliver, but its meaning goes beyond those words. It carries Tomo’s belief in raising the bar, building strong foundations and making people feel seen and heard.
Ted reflects more than our values. It represents the principles behind how we do business, how we treat people and the standards we hold ourselves to every day. Aaron helped shape those foundations, and we’re proud to keep building on them.
